The battle of Mahenge, 29.08 - 31.08 1905
The tribes in the south of today's Tanzania revolted against the german administration. The warriors who knew they couldn't win over an advanced civilisation, were given by the medium Kinjikitile Ngwale a "magical" water, the Maji-Maji, which puts the affected one in an invulnerable state.
This gave the warriors the courage to attack the german outpost on the Mahenge-Outpost (manned with 4 germans and 60 Askaris), which has, for the bad luck of the african warriors, a new weapon from europe installed; a water-cooled machine gun. Of course, the Maji-Maji Warriors experienced heavy losses and withdrew.
